“Now What You Hear Is Not A Test…”

As me and my doggie-pounds Ink inch closer to the first day of the rest of our Internet lives with The Black Odd Couple Blog Talk Radio Show jamboree, I ain’t even gonna front — I’m jive (aka sorta) shook-daddy, cousin.

I’m like “what in the s#!t am I getting myself in to?” But then I realize I’m Wise Math and I’m nice like that. I’ve been told I’m an interesting, funny son of a gun and my guy Ink is definitely a cat I respect on the up high and down low on that tip too. I think this show we’re launching is just gonna be the type of joint where you realize you got brothers from other mothers but we on the same page as far as entertaining and informing the people dem.

The crazy thing about this Internet is that we hardly ever use it for all we could be, you dig? I know full well I don’t. But here we are, me and Ink, vastly different yet ready to embark on a new journey in tandem on these said InterWebz. How’s it gonna go, you ask? Hell if I know. I just know I intend to be my loose-lipped, fun-loving self and I expect Ink, in his unique way, to debunk and debate me (and maybe even agree with me) at every turn with respect and the honor of a comrade.

The Black Odd Couple will be a labor of love, focus, intellect, humor and it will touch on whatever the hell we feel like in the moment. You’ll be growing with us. We’ll have bad shows. We’ll learn to have great shows. We’ll probably even have shows where we let you call in and join the madness. The bottom line is this — we’re going to do our best to give you our best.

Wise Math, 1/2 of TBOC

Birth of a Movement

It is with a certain amount of trepidation and a great deal of anticipation that Wise Math and the Inkognegro bring you The Black Odd Couple.  The show your mother would warn you about if she was on the Internet.

If you are of a certain age, you may remember the Odd Couple, starring  Quincy and, the lil Jewish guy who decided that 75 was a really good time to get married and knock out two babies.

If you’re of a certain pigment, you may remember the NEW (read Black) Odd Couple with the Big Dummy and the Black Guy from Barney Miller.

This has nothing to do with any of that.

TBOC is an Internet Talk Show that will air weekly starting Monday January 11, 2010  (thats 011110 For those of you who get off on such things) at 10PM Eastern.

I would tell you what it’s going to be about, but frankly, I have no idea.  If it had been last night, it would have probably ranged from the NFL to Tiger Woods to the death of the Public Option, with just a tad bit of foolishness thrown in to make you smile and some gifted artist trying in vain to sell something while one of us asks provocative questions.

The Black Odd Couple is a collaboration between two gifted Brothers who share a few things and don’t share many others.

We aren’t Different for the sake of being different.  We’re different because we’re different.

This is not a game or a shtick where Wise and I sit around and try and find ways to be different for the purpose of entertainment.

We are as different as two brothers can be and still be on the same page.

During our Gestation period, #TBOC  will live as a  Twitter hash-tag and through this blog.

We look forward to having you join the #TBOC movement.

Following @inkognegro and @wisemath will enable you to get any questions you want answered.
